"What most of us are actually intimate with is our conceptualization of reality, not the immediate experience itself. In other words, our stories, thoughts, labels, and other concepts of our experiences/environment—whether we’re aware of them or not."

KAULA TANTRA YOGA

Weaving energy & Deepening Awareness

A slow-paced, guided meditation in movement - Kaula Tantra yoga invites you to move, breathe and rest with intention. This practice allows you to welcome emotions, integrate all parts of yourself, and cultivate awareness so you can fully inhabit your own being.

ORIGINS

Rooted in classical Tantra - an ancient spiritual movement from the Indian subcontinent - the word “Kaula” comes from “Kula” which means family or community in Sanskrit. In Tantra, this represents the interconnectedness of all living and non-living beings.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN A CLASS

Kaula Tantra yoga uses:

  • Conscious breathing to support movement and stillness,
  • Gentle, intentional movement to enhance awareness and presence,
  • Stillness and rest to allow space for integration and emotional processing.

WHY PRACTICE KAULA TANTRA YOGA?

By practicing you will:

  • Create a safe space within your body to welcome emotions and sensations, both on and off the mat,
  • Slow down the pace of life, allowing yourself to be more  present with yourself and those around you,
  • Increase emotional awareness and discernment, fostering a deeper connection with your inner world,
  • Support your nervous system in down-regulating, creating a sense of deep rest and renewal.

Each session is an opportunity to rest, replenish, and unfold the stories behind your emotions in a slow, respectful and loving manner.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

Kaula Tantra yoga is for you if you:

  • Want to deepen your connection with your emotions, mind, and body in a gentle, authentic way,
  • Are experiencing stress, anxiety, tension or burnout and need a grounding practice to restore balance,
  • Long to cultivate a sense of presence and healing in your daily life.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Kaula Tantra yoga is often misunderstood due to modern misconceptions around Tantra. This practice does not involve any sexual activity.
